Formerly Right Track Recording, MSR Studios was established when the facility was fully acquired by Dave Amlen in 2009. In its 30 plus year history, MSR has been New York City’s premier location for motion picture music mixing and recording, having hosted some of the world’s most revered and talented composers, engineers, producers, and recording artists. With a fully trained support staff and three unique recording/mixing studios, MSR Studios’ reputation is built upon preparation, experience, and comfort.

Studio B’s Euphonix System 5 console allows for complex 5.1 mixing and easy switching between cues. Film music mixes that studio B has hosted include The Good Shepherd, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Doubt,The Adjustment Bureau, The Bounty Hunter, Tower Heist, The Informant, Across the Universe, Revoluitionary Road, Julie & Julia, and Beyonce’s I Am...World Tour DVD. Studio A, with its four isolation booths, 1800 square foot live room and 72 input SSL 9000J, is the largest and most versatile tracking studio in New York City, easily accommodating up to 35 musicians. Studio C, the most sought out pop music mix room in New York, has been home to the likes of recording artists Madonna (MDNA), Beyonce (4), Nicki Minaj (Roman Reloaded), Kid Cudi (Man On The Moon II), Kanye West and Jay-Z (Watch The Throne), and Erykah Badu (New Amerykah Part II).
